Job Description:

Irish International Trading Corporation (Cork) Plc, otherwise known as IITC, was established in 1920 and we are immensely proud of having diversified and developed over time to become one of Ireland’s leading distributors of Plumbing Materials, Heating Systems, Bathroom Supplies & Sanitary Ware. We are now looking for a Project Pricing Coordinator to join our Plumbing Department at our premises in Tramore Road, Cork City.

Main Responsibilities :

The role will involve working directly with the Department Manager and Director.

  • Preparation of plumbing material quotations from QS drawings for residential, commercial and industrial projects.
  • Assisting in the pricing of bills of quantities and tendering for one off projects.
  • Working directly with sales teams on leads and getting potential projects “over the line”.
  • Working closely with the procurement team to ensure that all product is sourced at the best possible price and delivered to the customer on time.
  • Liaising directly with the customer from start of project to end to ensure that first class customer service is delivered in terms of support, advice and product delivery.
  • Covering in the Showroom as required

Requirements

  • A working knowledge or prior experience of plumbing materials, heating systems, sanitary ware and bathroom supplies would be a distinct advantage.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act on own initiative.
  • A team player with a proactive “Can do” attitude.
  • Good communication and negotiating skills.
  • Commercially aware with excellent customer facing skills.
  • IT skills

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing customer service of the utmost quality to new and existing customers, managing and proactively developing long-term customer relationships. Your job will be to work closely with customers to ensure they get the maximum value out of the services and products they have purchased from us.

Responsibilities :

  • Proactively engaging with our customers throughout their relationship with us to drive excellent customer experience and satisfaction
  • Position yourself as the expert on our products and through providing continuous support
  • Work closely with customers to resolve any issues they may have in an efficient and timely manner
  • General customer service
  • Generate sales
  • Following up on sales
  • Upkeep, maintenance and tiding of showroom
  • Stock Control

Requirements

  • Relationship building – the ability and willingness to build and develop productive relationships with our customers
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a customer service focused role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise accordingly
  • Knowledge of tiles and bathrooms desirable but not essential

The Area Sales Representative will actively seek out and engage customer prospects in this region. The role includes selling steel products and establishing and maintaining customer relationships whilst achieving agreed sales targets.

Role Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for selling steel products to existing and prospective customers.
  • Responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining positive customer relationships ensuring focus on the achievement of long-term customer loyalty.
  • Establishing new and maintaining existing customers in the North/Northeast and ensuring follow up of any potential new customers.
  • Achieving agreed upon sales targets and outcomes.
  • Traveling in the assigned territory to directly meet with potential and current clients to discuss their requirements.
  • Negotiating sales contracts and resolving customer complaints.
  • Informing potential and existing customers of product features and benefits.
  • Submitting regular sales reports to management such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Working closely with internal sales team to close sales.

Role Requirements

  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • Experience of working under pressure.
  • Experience of both working in a team and individually.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must have IT experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work remotely when required.

We are now looking for a results-driven Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Head Office in Tramore Road, Cork City.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring all accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and address vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and perform periodic payment runs
  • Monitor and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies and maintaining positive vendor relationships.
  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently, matching them with purchase orders and verifying approvals.
  • Assist in the implementation and utilization of accounts payable software and systems.
  • Streamline accounts payable workflows by implementing automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead and mentor accounts payable staff, providing training and support to foster professional development.
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in senior accounts payable or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with automated accounts payable solutions is desirable. (Intact IQ &/or EI Trax a distinct advantage)
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
