At Irish International Trading Corporation (IITC), we are committed to supporting the safety, wellbeing, and development of our people. As part of this commitment, a group of staff members recently completed a 3-day First Aid Responder (FAR) course delivered onsite at our Tramore Road premises in Cork by Alan Walsh of AJ Walsh Training Services.
The comprehensive training gave participants the knowledge and confidence to act in the event of an emergency. Over the three days, the group learned vital life-saving skills including:
- Patient assessment
- CPR and AED use
- Incident procedures
- Responding to common medical emergencies
- Injury management and burns treatment
- Reporting and communication skills
- Wellbeing of a first aid responder

By completing this training, our team members are now certified First Aid Responders, equipped to handle a wide range of medical situations both in the workplace and beyond.
